National Citizen Service

The National Citizen Service is a government funded youth education programme to better equip young people with the life skills they need. The charity provides a month long programme to 16-17 year olds all over the country, where you can gain skills like First Aid Training, experience university life in some of the countries top universities and for the final fortnight organise and run your own Social Action Project.

Angel's Rescue

We are a registered animal charity based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. We rehabilitate and rehome abused, neglected and abandoned Horses¸ Cats and Dogs. We also provide opportunities for enrichment, development and also offer support to people who gone through physical, emotional and mental trauma.

At present we receive no government funding and rely on public donations.

Macclesfield Rural U3A has been in existence for over 15 years. Its prime objective is to offer to Retired and Semi-Retired persons a coming together and learning together, for its own reward – The Sheer Joy of Discovery!

 

The University of The Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities.

 

Members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, there is no difference between them.

 

There are over 40 different activity Groups within Macclesfield Rural U3A some, meeting weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Activity Groups include, Allotment Gardening, Art (all levels), Bookworms( 4 Groups), Creative Writing, French ( 2 levels), Italian ( 2 levels), Bridge ( 2 levels), Photography , Walking ( 3 Groups) and Table Tennis plus a regular Monthly Members Morning and an Annual Xmas Party.
